A 1940s Moleskin Le Mont-Saint-Michel French Chore Jacket. Moleskin Consists Of A Very Dense Cotton
Moleskin is a soft, and dense cotton fabric with a distinct brushed surface that closely resembling a texture of mole fur. This versatile textile is created by weaving a heavy twill fabric and through a specialized shearing process will remove the top layer of fibers. After shearing, the fabric is carefully brushed raising the remains of fiber and create its signature velvety texture.
This garment has hand stitched visible mending to the neckline aswel,l cuffs for reinforcement. Throughout the jacket is a one of a kind beautiful sun-fading and all original buttons. Four pockets total; three-exterior and one-larger-interior chest pocket.
